Why Music?

We seek to provide opportunities for children ages 9 - 14 who might otherwise not have access to Music Education programs. 

All low-income students in the Charleston area and throughout the Lowcountry should have the opportunity to discover and develop their interests and talents. By supporting music education, we are ensuring future generations have access to the transformative power of music.

Our goal is to provide resources, instruments, and educational programs to facilitate creative learning and activities designed to nurture young talent, foster creativity, and empower students to pursue their passion for music. 

Together with our local school districts, teachers, and local musicians, we are helping to change not only the lives of the individual students, but the community as a whole.

We also partner with the Lowcountry Food Bank because when children go hungry, it's hard to learn. A healthy snack after school is essential before practicing an instrument. 

Our aim is to feed the bodies and the souls of our community by spreading hope, love, and peace.

Bunky Odom is a Lowcountry legend in the music world and has worked with many top bands, including The Allman Brothers Band. He, Bill Nisbet, and the Board work to ensure every child with interest has an opportunity to explore, learn, and flourish in their interest in music. 

Each board member brings a unique skill set to the mission. Those skills, paired with their passion for music and education, allow us the unique ability to transform lives through music education.

We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
