Music Entrepreneur- Paul Joliet
Paul juggles his musical entrepreneurship between Paul’s Pro Sound, his artist+venue management and production company, and The Real Good News, a live music booking agency. His experience as a sound engineer, talent buyer, promoter, and musician (proficient on piano, bass, guitar, and harmonica) makes him a Swiss Army knife in the Charleston music scene. When Paul’s running sound, you know the audience and band will be dialed in.

Founded by legendary music promoter Bunky Odom in 2022, Rock N Roll Rescue started with a simple idea: every kid who wants to play music should own an instrument. Our board and ambassadors include concert promoters, venue founders, respected educators, touring musicians, and advocates committed to bridging the gap between Charleston kids and the music they deserve. Bunky helped to invent Southern rock, but our tastes know no bounds or genres, and neither does Rock N Roll Rescue. We support every kid’s ideas for musical expression.
Rock N Roll Rescue provides musical instruments and support to kids ages 9–14 in the Charleston area, especially those in underserved schools and neighborhoods.
Their partnership with the Charleston County School District seeks to remove barriers to entry for Lowcountry kids who want to play. Rock N Roll Rescue recipients own their instruments, meaning there’s no limitation on when and where they can play. When school lets out for the weekend or the summer, the instruments stay with the kids who received them.
